dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the legal protection for the nature, type and time of workers used as the basis for a Specific Time Work Agreement and to obtain the results of an analysis of the PKWT relationship period related to wage protection and compensation. The research in writing this thesis uses the type of normative legal research, namely the type of legal research obtained from a literature study by analyzing a legal problem regarding problems through legislation. According to the results of this thesis research, it is shown that: First, the Amendment to Article 59 of the PKWT provisions includes the addition of jobs whose types and nature are not permanent. Changes in the time period for PKWT consist of work that is estimated to be completed in a not too long time, work that is seasonal, or work related to new products, new activities, or additional products that are still under trial or exploration, can be carried out for a maximum of 5 (five) years, for PKWT based on the completion of a certain work which consists of work that is once completed and work that is temporary in nature, it can be carried out based on the agreement of the parties. Second, the Company in providing protection for the period of relationship to PKWT workers is required to provide wages that are determined by agreement and must not be lower than the provisions of the legislation. Workers who are laid off because their working period has expired will receive compensation.
