dc.description.abstract Translation studies used to fall under the umbrella of linguistics, but over the time translation studies have become a separate branch of knowledge interdisciplinary with disciplines as well as in creasing social, cultural, philosophical and historical values have fueled the growth of fragment in translation studies. The wealth of knowledge that has developed since translation studies first established until now will be concisely presented in this book. Translation studies has developed and broadened the area to cover the translation process which does not only exhaust one word in the source language into the target language. In this book, the authors describe five chapters consisting of (1) Getting to know translation (2) Methods of Translation (3) Techniques of Translation (4) Translation Procedures (5) Dynamics Equivalence in Translation. The authors have conducted research to develop a general introduction for readers who wish to study topics related to translation studies.
