dc.description.abstract Every language also has their component and origins such as Idioms and Expressions even in English. Idioms and Expressions are a systematic words or phrases that mean something other than their literal meaning but are understandable due to their widespread use. Although for native speakers it is very easy to understand but it is different scenario for non-native speakers. Idiomatic language poses significant hurdles for non-native speakers, as its meaning often transcends the literal interpretation of its individual words. Non-native language learners often avoid using English idioms since they find them difficult. This research is written based on library research. The authors utilize the qualitative approach supported by descriptive methods. The qualitative data are identified, classified, and discussed/interpreted. The study explores into the underlying factors contributing to these challenges, such as cultural nuances, pronunciation, and historical contexts that shape the usage of idiomatic expressions. It also emphasizes the importance of mastering idioms in their native context to assist meaningful communication and the effects of literal translation in misreading the intended message.
