This examination means to dissect the lesson plans alluding to the Curriculum 2013 planned by the English teacher in SMPN 3 Marabahan in the scholastic year 2020/2021. The researcher analysed the components of the lesson plans designed by an English teacher. Qualitative research was used in this study. The English teacher's lesson plans at SMP Negeri 3 Marabahan were the focus of the study. The data were obtained through documentation and interviews. The consequences of the information examination were then closed by the exploration issue.
The research's findings are as follows: 1) The nine components of the English teacher's lesson plans at SMP Negeri 3 Marabahan were as follows: lesson identity, core competency, basic competency and indicators, learning objectives, learning material, learning method, media, tools and learning source, learning activity and assessment, (2) from all the lesson plan components, seven components are in accordance with curriculum 2013, while two components, learning material and learning method are still not in accordance with curriculum 2013.
Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the lesson plans based on Curriculum 2013, but the English teacher at SMP Negeri 3 Marabahan still need to improve his lesson plans because not all components were written accurately. The headmaster should supervise the teaching-learning process regularly. For other researchers, it is suggested that other researchers conduct similar research on lesson plans. By conducting as many researches about the analysis of lesson plans, it can provide opportunities for teachers to improve lesson plans.
