Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of the haup (scoop net) used in the study, to analyze the composition and proportion of haup catches, to analyze the effect of differences in haup operating time on catches in Haruai Village, Haruai District, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The method used is conducting experiments in the field (Experimental Fishing). The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) and data analysis using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Based on the results of the study, the stalks made from areca wood, totaling 2 pieces, are located on the right and left sides, with a length of 5.20 m each. The diameter of the stalk on the left at the top is 0.78 cm, the middle is 1.42 cm, and the bottom is 1.58 cm. The diameter of the stalk on the right is 0.94 cm, the middle is 1.26 cm, and the bottom is 1.74 cm. Composition and proportions, namely operating hours 09.00-11.00 Bonylip barb as many as 26 tails (74,28%), Gray as many as 4 tails (11,42%), Long whiskers catfish as many as 3 tails (8,57%), Lais (Criptopterus criptopterus)) as many as 1 tails (2,85%), Lampam (Puntius scwanifeldi) as many as 1 tails (2,85%). Sedangkan pada hasil tangkapan pengoperasian jam 15.00-17.00 hasil tangkapan yaitu Bonylip barb as many as 27 tails (71,05%), Gray as many as 5 tails (13,15%), Long whiskers catfish as many as 3 tails (5,26%), Lais (Criptopterus criptopterus)) as many as 1 tails (2,63%), Lampam (Puntius scwanifeldi) as many as 1 tails (2,63%), Carp as many as 2 tails (5,26%). The difference in operating time on catches by group and treatment had no significant effect.
