Abstract:
Speaking anxiety can appear daily among friends and people, other than that speaking anxiety can also occur in certain situations, such as in front of the public, in the class, and when facing a test. Therefore, the researcher is interested in doing a systematic review on speaking anxiety of ELESP students. The researcher chose 20 journals based on the data collection searching strategy systematic review on students speaking anxiety in ELESP to be studied. This research was descriptive qualitative. The data were obtained through websites called google scholar then the researcher selected based on the findings: level of anxiety, types of anxiety, sources of the anxiety, and the effect of the anxiety on the research. The data were analyzed using a checklist as an analytical tool to classify the data. The findings showed that for most students with mid-level anxiety, there are 9 journals, most of the students in types state of anxiety within 12 journals, and most sources of anxiety by ELESP students are affective factors, cognitive factors, personal factors, less confidence, afraid of making mistakes, and fear of facing the test. Mostly the effect of anxiety on students in this study from the student's communication performance is low with fewer ideas. The effect of anxiety on students of ELESP they could feel under pressure dealing with their friends. The students could not concentrate well, and feel uncomfortable when people listen to their speech. The result of this research could be used as materials to understand more about students in speaking class and for teaching material to teach. The lecturer could reduce the level of anxiety about how far the students are anxious. The researcher expects this research could be a reference for other researchers who are interested to carry out similar research as one of their references. Investigating the most effective strategy that can be implied in can be speaking at least can reduce the anxiety to lower down of speaking anxiety.
