English teaching is an activity about transferring or sharing information, knowledge, and skill about English material with the learner in the classroom. Teaching Techniques is a way that is used by the teacher to direct the student's activities toward the goal to be achieved. This research aimed to observe the techniques of teaching English post-pandemic era of Covid-19.
This study used a descriptive qualitative method with an English teacher as the subject and an eighth-grade students class of MTs Darussalam to conduct the research. The data was obtained through observation and interview. The researcher analyzed the data using 3 stages that is data reduction, data display, and drawing a conclusion
From the finding the researcher found there are 4 techniques that teachers used in the post- pandemic era of covid-19, they are question and answer, dictation, reading aloud and online learning through WhatsApp group to send the material. Based on the data the teacher used the techniques because they are easier for the teacher to convey the materials for students’ understanding. From all techniques that the researcher found, question and answer is a techniques that the teacher often used.
Based on the data, it is suggested the result of this study could be reference to teaching techniques for teaching and learning English process after the pandemic of Covid-19 and also the researcher hopes this research can be reference for the next researcher that has similar topic.
