The online test is one of the tools that the teacher uses to assess students in the classroom. This research determines the eleventh-grade students’ perception of the online test used in English Classrooms. It is crucial to find the students’ perceptions so the teachers can find other perceptions of the online test. This research uses a Quantitative method to conduct this research and uses the Descriptive Quantitative method to analyze the data. This research uses a questionnaire as a tool to collect the data. The researcher conducted the research at SMAN 2 Banjarmasin.
In the collecting data process, the researcher uses a questionnaire to collect the data. The researcher comes to the classroom with the English teacher and then spreads the questionnaire through Google Form Questionnaire. The data was obtained through the students’ answers to the questionnaire. The data then go through several processes. The first is validating the data, the second is data reduction, the third is data analysis, and the last is data interpreting.
This research found out that there are some perceptions of eleventh grade students of SMAN 2 Banjarmasin. The first perception is the online test makes students feel more positive feelings when they do online test. The second perception is that the online test is giving the students benefits in doing online test. The third perception is that the online test plays the positive part in the classroom. The fourth perception is that the online test is neutral in whether it is appropriate enough for the students or not. The fifth perception is that the online test is completely reliable and accurate enough for the students. The sixth and last perception is that the online test is secure enough for the students. The researcher suggests the teachers to find a way to make the students find the online test more favorable. The researcher also suggests that the other researchers could take references from this research to conduct deeper research about this topic.
