Abstract:
Mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) has been developed to facilitate an
effective teaching-learning process. One of the results of MALL development is Quizizz
application that has gamification concepts. There have been several review studies on the use
of Quizizz in English Language Learning from the teachers’ and students’ perspectives.
However, despite the expanding popularity of Quizizz in English-language study, no reviews
of the Quizizz’s effectiveness research towards students’ learning outcomes in EFL classes
have been published. Therefore, this is the first study to conduct a systematic review and
analysis of the published literature regarding the effectiveness of Quizizz on students’ learning
outcomes. The main objectives of this study are to investigate the effectiveness of Quizizz on
students’ vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension. The result shows that Quizizz can
improve students’ skills effectively.
